This is a picture of my childhood friend so the original is not for sale. Cassie was given to my mother when I was 10 years old, but Cassie chose to be my dog. She went with me everywhere for the next several years. She even flew on an airplane at least seven times in her life so that I wouldn't be without her. Sadly, she died when I was 23. I will never forget her. She was the smartest, best behaved, and most lovable dog I have ever had.
By the time I drew this picture Cassie had passed away. I have drawn many pictures of her in my life but none of them really captured her. My dad, however, had taken an excellent photo of her when she was about 8 years old. I came across the photo years later. It was bent and tattered but it was still good enough to draw from. The result was a very good likeness of my long-lost friend.
