I have always, as long as I can remember, been interested in communicating my point of view through an artistic lens. As a child, I was always drawing, coloring and painting, and as an adult, I continue to spend my time in creative outlets. I have grown up and lived in Missouri all my life. My family has a lake house, where I spent a lot of time over the years. I would like to think of myself as and outdoor girl, and therefore look to nature for a lot of my inspiration.
I received a degree in studio art through UMKC. I worked as a custom framer for a few years and did a little interior design, all of which I enjoyed immensely. With the birth of my daughter, my priorities shifted and I stopped working to take care of her. Now that she is walking and talking, I have a little more time to focus again on my art. Right now I am using my artistic abilities in a number of ways. One of which is painting. My paintings are expressions of my love of color and design. I like to play with lines and recreate inspiration through different palettes and/or different settings. “And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, to design artistic works …” Exodus 31: 3,4
